About The Event
This presentation seeks to situate the audience within the indigenous landscape of Tidewater Virginia during the 18th century by exploring the challenges individual Tribal citizens had to make and how they questioned their loyalties to protect their treaty rights and their land. From students, to soldiers, to widows, this presentation reveals how Tribal citizens navigated their livelihood amid profound social and political pressures of the time.
